| | Thad lives in Spring Hill, TN with his wife DeAnna. He spends his free time cleaning his shotgun to keep the boys away from his daughter Carrie (6) and exploring his new found “super powers” with his son Thomas (4). Thad is a graduate of the University of Alabama and is currently a Business Development Manager at SVMIC. He has enjoyed 10 successful years as an employee of the company. At 36 years of age Thad started riding a bike later in his life. After competing in triathlons in ’99 and 2000 he discovered he was horrible at swimming and running, so he solely concentrated on cycling. He finally bit the bullet and started road racing in 2005. With a little luck in only his third race he won the 2005 Cat5 Tennessee State RR Championship. Since then Thad has been able to kiss the pavement and ride in ditches more than he has crossed the finish line. 2008 brings new opportunities! | |

| | Jay Levy
Jay races Masters 40+. He has been road racing for 20+ years both in Tennessee and Texas. Watching the Seven-Eleven cycling team compete in the 1984 Tour of Texas sparked an interest in cycling that has never waned. While in college he was president of the University of Texas Cycling Team. Hook em' Horns! Jay also seizes any opportunity to combine his passion for cycling with his love of photography. So, if you don't see him on the bike racing, look for him on the side of a road or on the back of a moto with camera in hand. Some of Jay's photo galleries, including the 2007 Edgar Soto Memorial Stage Race can be seen at www.jaylevyphotography.com. During the day he works as an Information Technology Executive at HCA in Nashville, TN. Jay lives in Brentwood, TN with his wife and two daughters. | | Andy is a creative. His first passion is art and design. He's been a graphic designer for 22 years and has been working on his own for the past 9 years. Andy started cycling some years ago mainly riding his mountain bike but since 2000 has steadily spent more time riding road for fun and competition with a team. He enjoys the camaraderie of riding and training with a group. He also appreciates the health benefits, especially since it offsets his daily wine consumption! He and and his wife, Jan still enjoy mountain biking on their travels near and far. Andy enjoys cooking...he says it's because he loves to eat! Andy and Jan like to dabble in the garden as they continually create their small backyard oasis in Franklin, TN. Andy and Jan have 2 cats who make them laugh on a daily basis.
| | Bob is currently a Category 4/Masters road racer. Though he has dabbled in various athletic pursuits for most of his life, Bob came to cycling in 2003 after a period of relative inactivity and steady weight gain. He is an in-house attorney at LifePoint Hospitals in Brentwood, Tennessee. For the past seven years, Bob has been trying to figure out how to retire comfortably to the south of France where his brother-in-law currently resides. Bob currently has one wife, one daughter, one house, two dogs, two cars, and five bicycles. | | The official (but hopefully rarely needed) Orthopaedic Surgeon to the SVMIC Cycling Team, Gray has been active for most of his adult life. Gray graduated from the University of California at Berkeley (Go Bears!) as an engineer, but really found that bio-science was more to his liking. He graduated medical school at Vanderbilt in 1990, and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency in 1995. After finishing a fellowship in Spine Surgery, he has been in practice with Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance since 1996. Cycling is his method of choice for fitness, fun, and frustration relief. Gray will likely race Cat 5 this year, but hopes to improve to the point of being able to go 'toe-clip vs. toe-clip with the masters 40+ guys soon. Gray has also found an interest in Triathlon, having completed his first season of racing in 2007. Gray and his wife Mary enjoy running together (they did 6 half marathons in 2005), gardening, cooking (and of course eating), and playing with their super-dog Zeke.
